Friends of Slavic Village

The Friends of Slavic Village is a group open to residents, business and civic leaders who are committed to enhancing the quality of life in Broadway Slavic Village.  The Friends of Slavic Village Mission is to: Bring together Broadway Slavic Village’s best asset–the many strong corporate, civic, and resident leaders who are committed to the wellbeing of our community–to enhance our quality of life and promote a healthy image of our community.

The Friends of Slavic Village Mini Grant program was created by a generous donation by the Third Federal Foundation to carry out the mission of the Friends of Slavic Village.
Residents and groups working to enhance the quality of life and build community in Broadway Slavic Village are eligible to apply for the grant.
Grant requests are reviewed by the committee, quarterly, in April, July, October and January.
Grant requests are reviewed quarterly by the committee.  In order to be reviewed grants must be submitted by March 25th, June 25th, September 25th or December 30th; if one of those dates falls on a weekend they must be submitted by the following Monday.  Grants will be reviewed the following month by committee members after which applicants will be notified of their decision.

If you are awarded the grant, click here to download the final grant report document which is to be submitted 15 days after completion of the project.
The committee looks for projects that allow people to work together and have an immediate, positive impact on Broadway Slavic Village.  The project should be a team effort that involves people from as many backgrounds as possible building and strengthening relationships within the neighborhood.  Projects should also build on assets that are already present in the community.
