The City of Cleveland has dedicated $11.3 million of CARES Act funding towards a new Rental Assistance Program, which will begin in July 2020. The objective of this program is to keep residents out of the homeless system, maintain viable tenants in their homes, and help landlords to continue to support themselves. Low- to moderate-income residents impacted by COVID-19, experiencing unemployment and/or a reduction in household income will be eligible to apply.

The Dept. of Community Development has created a dedicated email and phone line for Cleveland tenants and landlords interested in the Rental Assistance Program.
