Second Chance at Success
On January 20th, 18 year old Christopher Williamson left Slavic Village for the Earl C. Clements Job Corps center in Morganfield, Kentucky. After dropping out of High School and having trouble at home Chris stated, "I really did not know what I wanted to do with the rest of my life". That was before he met SVD property Manager Anna Cabrera.
Cabrera introduced Chris to one of our new partners in our workforce initiative, Job Corps, a federally funded residential, vocational and education program funded by the U.S Department of Labor. They offer a variety to trades to study and have a job placement service. Chris will be studying Advance Automotive Repair while also studying to get his High School Diploma at Earl C. Clements.
For more information on Job Corps or any of our other partners, please call Emily Miller at 216-429-1182 ext. 121

Slavic Village Neighborhood Summit
Stop the presses, clear your calendar, spring is near and so is the 11th annual Broadway- Slavic Village Neighborhood Summit. This year's event will be held on Saturday, April 19, from 11am-2pm at the Alliance of Poles' Auditorium, 6966 Broadway Avenue, in the heart of the Village.
Each year, our community celebrates the past, launches the future, and showcases our freshest leaders and hottest issues before the public. The Summit represents a celebration of continuous dedication and hard work by the individuals, organizations, and institutions, who are striving to preserve and develop the great character of this historic region.
