Music in the Park On Saturday October 11th from 3:00-6:00pm join neighborhood residents and friends at Hyacinth Park for "Music in the Park." This event will feature an array of music including Hip Hop, Blues, and Drums. There will be fun games, music, and food will be provided by Z's Rib Crib. This is a free community event, everyone is welcome. This event is sponsored by ParkWorks, Neighborhood Connections, and Slavic Village Development. Bicycle Safety Rodeo: Fullerton Elementary![]() A Bicycle Safety Rodeo presents children and their parents with basic traffic concepts and bike-handling skills, and gives them a chance to practice them in a safe setting. Free helmets, and bike locks will also be provided to all youth that participate in the event (as supplies permit). HalloGreen is Coming!![]() Youth and their parents will have the opportunity to play fun games, including Ring-Around-The-Pumpkin and Eyeball Race, and to participate in Halloween crafts. There will be a "Guess the Pumpkin's Weight" give away, and free apple cider and cake donuts. All youth participating in the games will receive a Halloween bag with treats (limited number available). Put on your costume and join us for an afternoon of fun and activities on the Morgana Run Trail. This event will take place on the Morgana Run Trail near 6563 Broadway Ave., Cleveland, OH 44105. Volunteer Life Skill & Golf Coaches and Volunteer Administrative Help Needed![]() Life Skill and Golf Coaches are needed to mentor children in their development of life-enhancing values that promote strong character using golf as a context. The First Tee of Cleveland’s mission is to positively impact the lives of children, ages 8 to 18 years from greater Cleveland by providing educational programs and learning facilities that promote strong character development and life enhancing values through the game of golf. Opportunities exist to mentor children by coaching the First Tee Life Skills curriculum, coaching golf, tutoring, teaching a financial literacy course, aiding in general office work, demonstrating healthy cooking, helping with special events, teaching an exercise class, and working in the First Tee of Cleveland’s gardening program. We value our volunteers and offer extensive training, volunteer golf outings, free golf & range balls with every five hours of service, a volunteer golf league, The First Tee of Cleveland hat, shirt, and golf towel, and swing coaching. Download Ad HereSlavic Village Walking Club![]() On Wednesdays they will be meeting in the parking lot of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church (6700 Lansing Ave.) and on Fridays they will be meeting in the parking lot of St. Stanislaus Church (3649 E. 65th St.). Everyone is welcome to join the walking club on there weekly walks, which will continue until early fall.
