Broadway Public Art has come up with a new idea that will do all three things together. In what may be the first project of its kind in Greater Cleveland, a Christmas card is being published that features winter scenes specific to the historic Broadway neighborhood, one of the oldest communities in the city. The striking black-and-white photos were taken during last winter's snowstorms; they were shot just as the snow and ice enveloped some of the area's oldest streets and most distinguished buildings. Organizers hope to make this an annual holiday tradition that will spread the pride and good wishes of local residents far beyond the Village. The greeting cards are printed on textured, fluorescent-white, heavy-stock paper, with a decorative deckle edge, and can be ordered with custom messages and signatures. They are priced at one dollar each and come with matching envelopes in packs of twelve. All proceeds will support future arts and music programs in Slavic Village. A sample of the cards can be viewed during regular business hours in the first floor vestibule of Slavic Village Development, 5620 Broadway Ave. For more information on the Slavic Village Christmas Card Project, as well as the many other holiday events coming up in December, call Broadway Public Art at 216-469-4806. or visit www.slavicvillage.org and click on Broadway Public Art. ![]() Line Dancing Mark your calendar’s, he’s back and it’s happening again, Robert Johnson Jr. the Line Dance King of Cleveland will be teaching line dancing in Slavic Village again.
